Business contactA state company created by decree in August 2011, SEM manages the Gabonese State's mining holdings and structures the gold value chain: official gold and diamond buying offices (Makokou, Mitzic, Ndjolé, Mouila) through its CGCO subsidiary, and the Gabonese Gold Refinery in Nkok (7–10 tonnes/year), inaugurated in 2023. Its 2026-2030 strategy targets one billion dollars in revenue and gold mining in Minkié and Mitzic.
